Hey guess what? I made the alternate list for Eastern Music Festival. which means if someone (who actually got in ;D) can't go, I get to!!!! They only took eight flutes out of the whole contry and Canada! even if no one drops out i'm still pretty happy! But I should go, I'm supposed to be writting up my program for my recital tomorrow but.......ya' know...

WOW, lost of stuff happening! First, CONGRATULATIONS Katie on asst. Drum Major!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D Hehehe. Second, this is the worst year to be graduating (although the day I decided this I got a $50 dollar check in the mail so...). PYS is planning a tour of Austria and Italy for the 50th season (it just finished it's 48th) and Mrs. Hine said that the seniors NEXT year can audition for spots to go . which means not the seniors THIS year sooo saadd. On a lighter note they did say family and friends of PYS students could come [thank the Lord for little sisters (this will probably be the only time you'll ever hear that from me!)] but...it's just not the same if you can't play. Second reason this is the worst year to be graduating is that TBYO is going to be playing, on June 10, 2007, at CARNEGIE HALL!!!!! ;D . But as with PYS the seniors from the season before can tag along also sooooo being an experienced younger sister tag-along, I'm going to put my good skills to work next summer!!!!! HEHEHE Dr. Weidrich anounced this news after he honored the seniors. he said to the seniors that TBYO is our home and we are always welcome back. then after he told us about Carnegie Hall he said, "And to the now bumed out seniors, remember you are always welcome back." so, to me, that's as much of an invite i need. (this was at our final concert) after the concert my dad went up to tell Weidrich how much he enjoyed listening to rehearsals and I went with my dad, Dr. Weidrich said about Caregie, "You're coming right?" so I take that as TWO invites, one you can say was one of those things people say but never mean, but two......... Anyway for those interested And I Mean You KATIE this looks like a pretty good time to join either or both TBYO and PYS (i really don't recomened doing both though, the people at PYS will hate you and make life harder for you...like changing a concert so it starts at the samr time as TBYOs....) Katie, if you do one, it really shouldn't be problem with marching band. (i would do TBYO this year, try for Youth Symphony, and go to Carnegie Hall...then do PYS the year after and tour Austria and Italy...but whatever you want to do is fine....) I know PYS has scholarships, don't know about TBYO though. Man, I should really get to sleep....oh...by the way Carmen's flute studio recital is on the 27th (for now, it may change) anyone who wants to come can (if we run out of room in the car, there is always the top...i have rope.) it's free, there are refreshments after and then I'll actually have someone to talk to. hehehe (i really don't want to be in a room with kendra, alone...i might do something not so good to her flute!!!, or her...) so you guys are invited *ahem* Katie...... I really need sleep sleep sleep sleeep sllllleeeeeeeeppppp. so adios for now (do you know how many times i've had to press the backspace button? you really don't want to know, it's sad, really sad, i need sleep. eventually i'll take my own advice but by then it will be 3 o'clock not 1:30. I'm just rambling now, which is again very sad. if you notice since i'm literally more tired now from when i started this little whatever its called im not capitalizing anything or using correct punctuation. except there. and now my grammer is bad too. alright i think i'm done now. ;D

Florimezzo Concert June 17th at the Palladium in St. Pete at 7 or 7:30. I know we're playing Lincolnshire Posey and I think we're playing Holst Suite in F. I'm not sure what else. but it will be a good concert.
Carmen's Flute recital is on the 27th (this saturday) I'll be playin Poem and some excerpt from something (I can't remember right now). It's free, you guys should come *ahem* katie *ahem* if anything you get free food. ;D

well, I think I'm going to try for all-state this year, at least for the audition experience. My teacher has me working for it. Thought you might like to know. How's your summer going?
